Finn's writing site. The central question: how symbols, language, and systems shape — and limit — our cognition and sense of self. The essays start from semiotics, continental philosophy, and the technical present, and try to pry apart concepts that look self-evident — ability, freedom, growth, knowledge, action — to see where their referents actually land. • Naming is compression. Every compression costs an experience.
